CFC donates building materials to Habitat for Humanity
Crew members from CFC Fences & Decks and volunteers from Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando
In an effort to assist with projects for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando Area, CFC Fences & Decks has donated approximately $15,000 in decking, framing, and fencing materials. CFC constructed a showcase display for Trex Company, Inc. at FENCETECH ’10 in Orlando, and once the conference convened, the display was dismantled and crated for donation to Habitat for Humanity Orlando. FENCETECH is the annual conference sponsored by the American Fence Association.
The display included approximately 800 square feet of materials which will be repurposed for construction of Habitat for Humanity homes or sold at their ReStores. Funds from the ReStores outlets are used to acquire land, build Habitat for Humanity homes, and run day-to-day operations of Habitat for Humanity Orlando.
“The support of your gift provides will make the dream of a decent, affordable home a reality for those in need,” stated Dee Danmeyer, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity Orlando, in accepting the gift.
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, community assistance program focusing on construction of affordable housing for low income families. Approximately 2,100 affiliates are in operation nation-wide. CFC has participated in previous Habitat for Humanity and other community service projects, both as members of the American Fence Association and as independent product and service providers.
