CFC Fences & Decks has served Salt Lake City and surrounding areas for several years but we've noted a sharp increase in the number of customers we are serving in Salt Lake over the last 3 years. Even with the dip in the economy, the volume of installations has actually increased. Residents in neighborhoods such as Sugar House, The Avenues, and Mount Olympus have indicated to us that they are often looking for upscale replacements for chain link and older style wood fencing. The most popular styles of fencing our customers have asked us to install Trex and Canyon Winds cedar fencing.
Statistically, Trex is growing faster than wood in these areas, most likely due to the low-maintenance yet natural look it affords. Interestingly, we see very little vinyl fencing in Salt Lake City which we attribute to the lack of aesthetic compatibility with the mature landscaping and elegant designs of the legacy homes in these areas. Iron fencing tends to be quite popular in areas on the benches since it provides security and containment without obstructing beautiful vistas of the Valley. Our Salt Lake City customers that have us install iron fencing sometimes will request Trex or cedar privacy fencing on the sides with iron fencing on the backs of their properties.
